As Covid-19 has been going on for over a year, we have gotten used to the new rules and regulations that help keep us safe. It is not an ideal way of living for all of us but regardless of how frustrating it is, we all must continue our lives with it. This is a very difficult time for all of us as we need to make extra efforts even in simple daily tasks. School is more challenging than ever, and frontline responders are putting their lives at risk every day.
For many of us who are more fortunate than others and have access to all the basic needs, the best thing we can do at this time is to support each other especially people around us and people that are in needs. But we also have to focus on ourselves, especially with our mental health as it is not something that is always visible, but it is as important as our physical health. It is normal to feel overwhelmed when there are many things that are out of our controls, and we have to learn how to live differently from what we used to.
In this difficult time that we are all facing, it is a good idea to step back and take a break from stressful news. Instead, try focusing on what makes you happy and motivates you to improve yourself for the better. It is important to remind yourself that you are not alone. As places have now started to open up and we are now able to go outside and do outdoor activities, it is important to remind ourselves that the virus is still remain and we still need to be cautious not only to protect ourselves but also people around us.
