Planting more tree will not reverse the climate change, but it surely will slow down the process. According to American Lung Association, an average human breathes over 2,000 gallons of air a day1, which is approximately 9.5 tons of air every single year.
In the BBC Science Focus article states “A human breathes about 9.5 tons of air in a year, but oxygen only makes up about 23 per cent of that air, by mass, and we only extract a little over a third of the oxygen from each breath. That works out to a total of about 740kg of oxygen per year. Which is, very roughly, seven or eight trees’ worth.” 2
Even though, trees are not the only source of oxygen but they clearly have a large impact on all lives on earth. Planting more trees to slow down climate change seems to have a promising result from many scientists’ estimations but it will not catch up with the number of products people worldwide use daily that are produced from tree.
Aside from increasing the number of trees on earth, we should also consider reducing or eliminating products made from trees. It surely is difficult since the almost every single product we use today are some what related to using products that are made from trees if not directly. One of the main products that we regularly use in our everyday lives without a doubt would be toilet papers.
As we have mentioned in one of our previous articles, Americans use the most toilet paper daily when compare to the rest of the world due to the lack of accessibility of bidets which is the main reason why many Americans are still not familiar with the concept of bidets and would rather stick with using toilet papers. However, nowadays bidets are widely available to be purchase online as well as in-store in the United States, Americans are starting to switch from using only toilet paper to using bidet in their own home.
This option seems like a no-brainer when it comes to saving the trees, save money on toilet paper, better hygiene, not to mention other amazing functions that comes with the new bidet technology like ours that would change the bathroom experience to the better.
